Frequently asked questions

How do I log my first pain entry?

Open Pain from the top nav, tap the body map where it hurts, rate severity, and add any symptoms or triggers. You can save in under 30 seconds — every other field is optional.

What do the AI insights do?

AI Insights look at your last ~90 days of entries and surface patterns — possible triggers, time-of-day clusters, weather correlations, and medication response signals. They are statistical observations from your own data, not medical advice. Always confirm with your clinician.

How do I generate a doctor report?

Go to Report, pick a date range, and tap Download PDF. The report includes a severity timeline, affected body regions, frequent symptoms and triggers, and your current medications and diagnoses.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Pro → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep full access until then.

Can I get a refund?

Except where required by law (e.g. EU/UK statutory rights for unused digital services), payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, email support@mypainpilot.app and we'll review it.

Where is my data stored? Is it private?

Your data is stored in a secure managed Postgres database with row-level security so only your authenticated account can read or write your entries. It is never sold and never used to train AI models. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and your account plus every entry tied to it will be permanently removed. This cannot be undone.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in page choose Forgot password and we'll email you a reset link.

Why does the weather field need my location?

It's optional. If you grant location, we fetch local pressure, temperature, and humidity from a public weather API so you can correlate flares with weather changes. Coordinates are never stored.

The app says I can't log in or something looks broken.

Try a hard refresh first. If it still doesn't work, email us with the device and browser you're using and a brief description — we usually reply within one business day.
